Our Children's Ministry

Sunday School is provided for children of all ages. Our nursery is for children up to toddler age with Mrs. Runelle, Mrs. Shirley, and Mrs. Gail. Toddlers (2-3 years old) have their very own Sunday School class with Mr. Brandon and Ms. Leslie. Our prekindergarten and kindergarten children are in the same classroom with Ms. Amy. Our 1st and 2nd graders are currently split into either the class above or below their age group. They will soon have their own class again. (See Tom Benson or Dixie Benson if the Lord is leading you to teach this age group!) 3rd and 4th graders are in with Ms. Jenny. And 5th and 6th graders are in with Mrs. Sandra. For information about our teen classes, please click on the youth page because they have their own page-and would be offended to be called children!

On a side note, our church does perform background checks on all of our children's workers and youth workers for our children's safety.

Our children's ministry extends into the church services as well. Nursery is provided during all church services for birth through 3 years old. Children's Church is provided on Sunday mornings for ages 4 years old through 3rd grade. (Some 3 year olds have gone into children's church and been fine. We work with the kids and parents on this.) Junior Church is provided for children in the 4th through 6th grades.  

Children's Class provided on Wednesday nights for ages 4 through 11. Toddlers (2 and 3 year olds) have their own class on Wednesday nights too. Teen classes are for kids 12 and up, and you will find this information on the youth page.

Feel free to ask about what your child will be learning in Sunday School and in Children's and Junior Church. There is a big emphasis on reading the Bible and learning from it as well as learning Bible verses. Don't be shy about introducing yourself and your family to our teachers. We are here to serve you and your family. We would love for you to become a part of our church family!

 Vacation Bible School Is Coming!

Custom Garage: Loving God and Serving Others is the theme. VBS will be the week of June 23rd-27th. Mark your calendars and prepare to volunteer your talents to make this the best VBS ever!

The teens are already working on props and plans are being made for a coordinator for each set of activities as well as teachers and helpers. What is God calling you to do?

We held a celebration for our children under 4 years old on May 4, 2008 during the morning service. We call it Baby Day. It was REALLY hard to choose from the gifts in the Basket because there was so much cool stuff! Mrs. Dixie is our fearless leader. Mrs. Dixie rocks!

Barnesville Nazarene Church held its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 22nd. We learned about the REAL reason for Easter and then had a blast playing games and hunting eggs.
